MATCH REPORT – 3s Vs Aston 1s (09/06/210
Shock, the train keeps on rolling.
A textbook 3s performance where we rolled Aston and chased it down with ease made for another cracking day.
CalGal and the Goose opened up, keeping it tight and probing the outside edge. Calgal got just reward by taking the outside edge, safely touched by the Skip. The change bowlers struggled to maintain the economy, but wickets falling at regular intervals from Aneesh and Varun meant that the rate never got away from us.
Wardo came on and removed the dangerous Aston captain, and from that point on the collapse came very quickly, it was Warwick 1s/2s/4s/Dev-esque. The goose and a run out (if you haven’t heard about it give me a ring I’ll give you a full description x) polished off the innings for a well below par score of 140.
Dallmy came and went, soon to be followed by Ken and Varun. A slight wobble of 30-3 had the boys slightly worried, but the cool heads of Calgal and Sachin counter attacked and took us nearly all the way to the target. Calgal bottled his 50 by nicking off on 41, but Wardo and Sachin the Run Machine took us over the line with ease.
The train goes again tomorrow in a HUGE game against Birmingham 3s. Choo fucking choo boys see you at cryfield x
