3’s v Birmingham 4’s

MATCH REPORT – 3s v Birmingham 4s (03/06/21)

Wow, the 3s train is in full flow now lads, a resounding win over our West Midlands rivals sparked a real belief in the lads that a late title charge is so on.

The day started nicely with a huge toss won, and in electing to bat I did the only thing I had to do all day, leaving Patient, and Varun to get 50s, along with starts from Calgal and Dallmeyer.

However, the real praise goes to Sachin Suresh, who needs Ed to get ordering a baggy ASAP after scoring a delightful, run a ball ton. Some big late hits took us over 300, and the game was nearly won already.

The bowling was tight, and at times unplayable, from openers Calgal off 5 steps and Sam Morris. Both chipped in with wickets, before the screw could really be turned by first change bowlers Joy and Sachin.

The spin twins of Shagger Neil and Zain then polished off the job with relative ease, despite Neil’s mind obviously being elsewhere for most of the innings. The boys will be ready to go again next week, when the train rolls back into Cryfield.

There’s not many stops left before we reach our destination of Title Town, so get on soon boys
